Russian Army heavy armoured personnel carrier (Object
564) ‘Firebug’ for deployment of 7-man specialist flamethrower squads. Based on
T-72 main battle tank chassis with 840hp V-46 diesel engine, entry into service
in 2001.
BMO-T is designed to carry RPO series rocket-propelled
infantry ‘Bumblebee’ flamethrowers. Features built-in explosive reactive armour
panels, Kevlar protective liner, nuclear biological & chemical protection
(NBC) and fire extinguishing system. Armed with NSVT 12.7mm machine gun.
Length 7220mm, width 3787mm, max speed 60kmh (approx 37mph), weight 43900kg. Crew 2.
